Biography:

Dr McKenzie completed a Masters of Applied Science (Research) at Queensland University of Technology. This examined causation of progression to Castrate Resistance Prostate Cancer with Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT). The main focus was elements of ADT related metabolic syndrome, in particular hyperinsulinaemia. He is attempting to establish links between hyperinsulinaemia, and the timing of progression of prostate cancer, via PSA rise and clinical progression. Dr McKenzie completed fellowship training in Robotic Surgery and Pelvic Uro-Oncology at the Bristol Urological Institute, Bristol, United Kingdom in 2015. He is now a Consultant Urologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane specialising in prostate and bladder cancer.
