Biography:

Dr Haider has studied at a variety of institutes in North America, including the University of Ottawa and the University of Toronto, where he completed his Radiology Residency. His major research focus is abdominal and pelvic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), with a special interest in therapeutic response assessment and function imaging of cancer using MRI and CT. Dr. Haider has a 50 per cent protected research time grant award from the University of Toronto, and has held peer reviewed grants from the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada and the National Cancer Institute of Canada for MRI-related prostate cancer research. He actively participates in functional tumour imaging research projects in radiation oncology and therapeutic response assessment trials in medical, radiation and surgical oncology for renal cell carcinoma, and metastatic disease to liver and prostate cancer.

Current areas of collaboration: prostate cancer diagnosis detection and localization with MRI; minimally invasive therapies for prostate cancer using MRI.
