Mr Murray McLachlan
Position:
- Localised prostate cancer consumer representative, APCRC Research Coordination Committee
Biography:
I am one of two consumer representatives on the APCRC Research Coordination Committee, representing the localised prostate cancer perspective. I was treated for prostate cancer through a radical prostatectomy in March 2009, and have recorded 'Non detectable' PSA readings since that time.
I have also worked on a voluntary basis with Cancer Council NSW as the Policy and Advocacy Coordinator for the Central Coast area, with a focus on the functioning of the Central Coast Cancer Advocacy Network and the operation of the Ministerial Liaison Program for the Central Coast region.
Provision of a consumer research representative perspective to the work of the APCRC Research Committee..
